Doel
Met de klinische werkgroep inflammatoire darmziekten (IBD) werden indicatoren ontwikkeld via de Delphi methode. Naast gastro-enterologen en IBD verpleegkundigen, namen bijna 100 patiënten met IBD deel.
Er zal gezocht worden naar een gestructureerde registratie in het elektronisch patiëntendossier waarbij de resultaten geëxtraheerd kunnen worden om tot benchmarks te komen.
In de werkgroep willen we van elkaar leren hoe de kwaliteit voor de patiënten met inflammatoire darmziekten te verbeteren.

Medication
1) Use of systemic steroids for >3 months
2) UC only: Use of steroids for >7 days without surgery without adding treatment in patients admitted with a flare
3) Use of calcium and vitamin D supplements while on systemic corticosteroids
4) Use low weight heparin prophylaxis while being hospitalised
5) Combination use of immunomodulator and start of infliximab
Use services
6) room admissions for IBD-related causes
Post-intervention
7) Documented endoscopic reassessment within 12 months after an ileocolonic resection
8) Readmission within 30 days after IBD-related surgery
Infections
9) Use of pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia while triple immune suppression
10) Adequate pneumococci vaccination in the last 5 years for immunosuppressive therapy
Follow-up
11) Body weight measurement
12) CD only: Endoscopic evaluation within 12±2 months after start of a new of treatment
13) Endoscopy reports where an endoscopic activity score was used
14) CD only: Active smoking
